The first rose of the season is in bloom in my garden! So nice to be out there digging in the dirt again.
In bloom! Daffodils on my walk this morning.
Queen Anne’s lace on my walk today. I love the story that this wildflower got its name because Queen Anne of England pricked herself in the finger while making lace and a drop of blood fell, which is why there’s a single purple floret in the center of the flower.
Buttercups on my walk today. It made me remember how when we were kids we’d hold buttercups under people’s chins. If we saw a yellow reflection, it meant they liked butter!
